Info received from Rod (Stinger) Nettlefold: Bad news I am afraid, Darcy is in hospital (The Mater ) in Townsville, went in last week. He has been diagnosed with bone cancer and it is unfortunately very advanced, and the prognosis is a matter of weeks. Bob Penman, an old mate rang me this morning, he is a mate of Darcy's and is visiting him daily. If you could pass this on to all those who would be interested on your net, I would be obliged. For those who may not know, Darcy's address is : 113 Dearness St, Garbutt 4814, but I presume any cards sent to the Mater Hospital would get to him. Good men are scarce, its a bugger getting old isn't it!..... Stinger. |
