The following is from Ross McGregor via Al Price Dear all, Bob is in Holy Spirit Hospital as per Jan's report below. he is on massive antibiotics and physio but he is now feeling well within himself. The hospital is at 627 Rode Rd Chermside and tel (07)3326 3071 will get you through to his ward. He is in room 20. Jan is coping and does not require any help just yet but it appears that Bob will be in hospital for up to 3 weeks and off his feet for a while when he comes home. I will be going to see Bob tomorrow but I would appreciate it and so will Bob, if we could all visit him from time to time. Regards, Alan
Boy, are we having fun and games here! Bob came home from hospital Thursday afternoon, and was back in Friday afternoon. He was sent home because his hip had behaved for 24 hours, and then yesterday morning it erupted again all over the bathroom floor. So back he went. He is on five different antibiotics in a drip, and at 4am this morning, the nurses had to clean him up again and change the bed. Bob said they were amazed at the amount of fluid he had lost. The doc saw him at 6.30 this morning and told him they are calling in an expert on infectious diseases to try to get to the cause of this problem. Not before time. I also have a problem, I have the darn flu and feel like death warmed up. I have had the flu shots too. I am on antibiotics and cough medicine, so hopefully it won't be long before these take effect. I will have to wear a mask when I go up and see Bob. This is something he can do without. Jan |
