G'day Troops, Having had the chance to talk to quite a few who attended it was obvious that many would have liked to have gone down to Holsworthy for the ceremony at "The Rock" but infirmity, financial or time constraints prevented. I saw a few faces I hadn't seen in ages, "Psycho" Hughes, Des Aylett, "Lofty" Horne, Noel Kelly and Joe Dvoracsek to name but a few. Al Price gave a stirring address on the sometimes forgotten role of tracker dogs in our conflicts in both Sarawak and South Vietnam. Yogi Pearson, wheelchair bound but as strong in spirit as ever also spoke at the ceremony. At a guess there was 50 - 60 people in attendance, most of whom adjourned to the 6RAR Sgts Mess afterwards for refreshments and lie telling that went on well into the evening. A few photos are attached..... Ed
